"Cat "

This cat dwell’s in my peripheral vision, after a while you sense a cat more than you see her. That is what is depicted here, its spectral existence, its soul. This is the portrait of my cat , Jasmin .
I am the first viewer and i wanted to see not a cat, this is not the subject; the subject is the feeling you get, spectral-dark folklore mystery that surrounds this animal-dangerous-elusive-subtle movement;  i wanted to see the form of this feelings combined. This is the goal always , not intended really, to express meanings or feelings, more like a psychological gestalt mechanism.
It is acrylics on stretched canvas applied with palette knife and while i used a brush for its fur in the beginning I wasn’t quite  pleased, I wanted something with a linear grainy feel, I used wood, a wood stamp made from a piece of salvaged fruit crate.

"Heart "

Not all hearts have the same shape but they are all pink and can be broken. This is a heart and broken beats of soul crust (-: that is the point.Color field and semiology are used to lead into a semiotic feeling of pink-heart,center -by depth,beats- by semiosis.

"Escalation "

The light and a feeling of growth from dark to light and towards it, an escalation. Moved by Mark Rothko’s color field masterpieces, this is my interpretation for expressing this particular feel I mentioned above and I want the painting to radiate it, to produce a meditative experience.

CRITOVOULUS: I know, at any rate, that a shield is beautiful, as well as a sword and a spear.

SOCRATES: And how is it that, although none of these is similar to the other, they are all beautiful?

CRITOVOULUS: If, by Zeus, they've all been wrought with a view to the tasks for which we acquire them, or if they've been well adapted by nature with a view to the things we need, then these are beautiful.

"Apertura "

Apertura is the first move in Tango, the moment that energy transacts from one person to another, bodies become a differential and transform force into motion; so different components but united into a vivid movement, clear strongly defined colors trying to mix ,eye is trying to arrange shape, direction.
I also wanted to incorporate in the receiving feeling the strict boundaries of the dances technical directions and sense of formality by using a more linear-drawing  like synthesis.

"Optic Nerve Override "

But how do you communicate an experience? a feeling, a dream, a feeling within a dream?

"Optic Nerve Override," is a dream remembrance of a time when the seas were troubled, of the moment that people describe as bright light and something shady, automatic mind procedures that you have no control on it, my prolific telltale from the place that has no further ending.

Driven by senses in memory form , the necessity to express this is the key factor that with nearly automatic procedures makes this work come together. My goal is the viewer to feel this drive, to emerge within him the context of the dream.
